News reel:

A newsreel was a form of short documentary film prevalent in the first half of the century. It was a source of news, current affairs and entertainment for millions (not that millions are viewing my blog). Newsreels are now considered significant historical documents.

Gryffin is 3

On April 27th I woke up early to the sound of wrapping paper being eagerly ripped of birthday presents.  I could hardly open my eyes all I could due was nudge Eugene and yell frantically, "someone is opening Gryffin's birthday presents."  Fortunately it was Gryffin opening up his presents, unfortunately we missed out on seeing him open a couple and had a hard time getting him to hold off on opening any more until we could wake his brothers up.
Gryffin knew way before his birthday that he wanted a spiderman theme.  It was probably in February when I was asking the boys for ideas on what they would want when Gryffin immediately responded with spiderman.  Tate on the other hand took forever to decide, probably because he had Cole in his ear telling him what kind of party and cake he wanted.
Gryffin was so fun to watch on his birthday.  I took him on a few errands and he told the lady, "its my birthday shoot hooray!"  How do you just not want to eat him up (metaphorically speaking that is)?
(And if you are wondering about the band aid that is loudly featured in these pictures.  Gryffin fell on a log outside and put a hole, yes a hole, almost the circumference of a dime in his head)

Easter

Easter was fun this year.  Last year the boys had big metal dump trucks as their Easter baskets.  So this year I needed something new for their Easter baskets.  I hated to spend money on something that might get broke, misplaced, or never used again.  The thought occurred to me, why not use empty paint cans.  I figure I could re-purpose those as cute storage in many many different ways, so that is just what I did.  I think they turned out pretty fantastic.  Wouldn't you know it was actually warm enough and the ground was not covered in snow like last year that the Easter bunny was actually able to hide their eggs outside.  Next year we will dye more eggs, a dozen each, at least that is what I have told Eugene.

Baby Farm Days

On Tate's birthday his preschool class went on a field trip.  What a perfect day to have one! It also happened to be a Wednesday the one day I had free in my crazy school schedule to tag along.  We had a great time.  The day was just extra special.

Tate's 5

April 13th Tate turned 5.  He is very excited to now be old enough to go to school with Cole.  He really wanted a super hero party, Batman to be exact.  It wasnt the best party I have ever put together but life just kind of took over.  Overall I think it went well and everyone had a good time, especially the birthday boy and that is all that matters.  I love loved his birthday invitations, they were classic.  I loved them so much I am bound to use them again.  With three boys I am sure I will get the chance to do so.  (Post a pic when I can get my temperamental computer to cooperate)  Eugene made marshmellow guns for all of Tate's friends and did a splendid job wrapping his gifts with our homemade Batman wrapping paper.  They shot up Batman villians, played games, ate yummy cake (again not one of my best decorated cakes), opened presents, and filled our home with laughter!

Sawyer is growing up

It has been way too long since I have posted.  I have really neglected my duty in updating my family and friends on what is going on in the realm of Norris, better yet our newest addition Sawyer.  She is an absolute dream!  Eugene and I were talking the other day and this was my conclusion. (of course all our babies were the most handome and gorgeous babies in the universe) Cole was the cutest baby ever and also my grumpiest thanks to colic.  Tate was the freaking cutest toddler.  Gryffin is our crack up he always has us on our toes and he has been hilariously happy since day one.  Sawyer is the sweetest.  Here are some pictures and I am sure you can see why.
